At a time when the world seems to be turning backward in many places, we see ourselves strengthened in our mission to be a pioneer for the pioneers. To support them in credibly positioning themselves with their sustainability narrative and thus playing their cards on the map. What is faltering politically in the West of us could be our future booster in Europe. Even with the omnibus procedure, most companies are staying on track with sustainability and no longer view sustainability as a regulatory obligation, but as an integral part of their corporate strategy.
In addition to a shift in all areas of the economy and consumption, we need a shift in communication. Getting out of the greenwashing trap. This requires two mindshifts:
😺 Mindshift 1, at transmitter level:
- Make it clear how thick the boards are that we are drilling,
- how important the steps are that are being taken and how we can achieve this,
- Work out advantages and trade-offs for all parties involved
- Create enthusiasm and identification!
😸 Mindshift 2, at receiver level:
- Acceptance that there is no 0/1 transformation,
- but only a transition that is characterized by a continuous decoupling from fossil fuels,
- while the path must be economical for it to succeed
- Create enthusiasm and identification!
The points of the two mindshifts are complementary, check! 💪
And: in order for the solutions that will lead us to a cool economy to take hold, we need to explain where the benefits lie. Tangible and concrete. Emotional and activating. More on this soon with an extremely bold campaign.
On the road with a clear mission.
The communications industry is also under pressure. I spoke to some colleagues who are sitting in empty offices in front of empty order books. They are asking themselves what their agency’s offering actually is, what added value they can offer their clients. For us, this is absolutely clear. Over the next few weeks, we will be going out with a number of projects and cases that make this very clear. I’m really looking forward to that.
That is why we have also entered into new partnerships. With whom we can make a difference together. With whom we can scale and expand what we or they offer in terms of added value into a highly relevant service. Or to make a difference at industry level, for example with the network of sustainable event agencies, which we recently joined.
